Night Teacher is the project of singer-songwriter Lilly Bechtel, whose haunting voice and poetic lyrics weave elements of doom-folk and alt-rock to create an experience that listeners have described as part seance, part lullaby.

Since the 2020 release of her debut record Night Teacher, Bechtel has been featured on NPR, won Best Song in the Experimental Film and Music Video festival and was noted by thec music magazine Relix as an “artist to pay attention to.” Her sophomore album, Year of the Snake, will be released October 31st, 2025.

Lilly is also a published writer and certified, trauma-informed yoga instructor with 15 years of experience leading creative mindfulness workshops.
